AGT Wagga Wagga appoints new Variety Support Officer
As part of an ongoing commitment to provide the best customer support to grain growers Australia-wide, AGT is pleased to announce that Darcey Boucher-Hill has been appointed Variety Support Officer, based at Wagga.
Darcey has an extensive background in agriculture that includes having completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Charles Sturt university, undertaken field trial management with the NSW Department of Primary Industry and as a Technical Officer at AGT’s Wagga breeding centre immediately preceding her appointment in the Variety Support Officer role.
Bringing an exciting mix of enthusiasm and experience to the rapidly expanding AGT Wagga team, Darcey is looking forward to assisting the Southern NSW Variety Support Manager, James Whiteley, in communicating the benefits of planting and growing AGT crops.
“I am looking forward to getting out and talking to growers, advisors and industry about how they can continue to implement AGT’s varieties to best benefit their production systems,” she said. “I am keen to be the conduit between AGT and industry providing valuable feedback particularly from growers and advisors back to AGT. The varieties we are releasing across a range of crop types is very exciting and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of AGT’s future.”
