Clearfield® System
Tomahawk CL Plus has been specifically developed to carry two genes for tolerance to Clearfield® Intervix® herbicide. Intervix® is a member of the imidalolinone chemical family with Group 2 (formerly Group B) mode of action, offering one-pass post-emergent knockdown and residual control of many major grass and broadleaf weeds.

PBR and EPR
Tomahawk CL Plus is protected by Plant Breeders Rights (PBR) and all production (except seed saved for planting) is liable to an End Point Royalty (EPR), which funds future plant breeding.
Tomahawk CL Plus growers will be subject to a Grower License Agreement that acknowledges that an EPR of $4.15/tonne + GST must be paid on all production other than seed saved for planting.

Tomahawk CL Plus is very closely related to popular variety Scepter, and offers all the benefits of Scepter along with Clearfield® tolerance.
Tomahawk CL Plus has bridged the yield gap between conventional and Clearfield® wheat varieties, delivering yields well above Scepter. Not only does Tomahawk CL Plus offer higher yields, it has a similar disease, physical grain quality package, adaptation and maturity as Scepter.
This combination of traits make Tomahawk CL Plus a great variety choice for growers who are looking to maximuse their production, as well as giving them the option to use Clearfield® Intervix® technology to control certain grass and broadleaf weeds, or managing Clearfield® Intervix® soil residues from a previous crop.
